Projects 1. Title: Notes Rationalization Database
Business Brief: The proposed solution is to change this approach and directly redirect users to the Notes Requests db when they use the option for database request in Cummins Forms. On choosing the create new requests in Cummins Forms database, the user will be shown a form which will have the static text content about the redirection and the link to the new Notes Request Database. On click of the link, the new database will be opened which will have the navigation & UI as per the notes standard client based application. The navigation will have menu for “Create New Standard DB Request” , “Product Advisor”, “Customer Clarification”, “Test Drive” apart from other related user menus & Admin section.

Contribution: Being the team lead and the coordinator for the project, the expectation was met in both the deadlines as well as the quality.
Value Addition: Suggested the customer some of the design issues which helped the performance of the database. Special considerations were taken so that the log of all the activity is maintained.
2. Title: Notes Overtime Database
Business Brief: Instead of manually submitting overtime requests to managers, it will be more efficient to do this electrically by Lotus Notes application. Electronic request submission gives more speed to get the request approved and more control on justification of overtime request because right now manual pre-approval is not functioning in the sense of the principles of getting approval prior to actual overtime working.

Contribution: I was the on-site and the off- shore coordinator for the project.
Value Addition: This project was solely developed and deployed by me. The client requirements and their hopes were all met with a very good feedback from the client.
3. Title: Automating Standard db Request
Business Brief: Standard db request is a notes client based database which is used to request creation of standard notes database requests etc. The existing process available on the Cummins Forms database was not very efficient and the delivery time for the customers was too slow.
Technical Brief: Lotus Notes 5.0.
Contribution I was involved in the development / coordination of the project under a team leader.
Value Addition: The application was over 500 hours and all the coding was done by me as a fresher got a good exposure to the Lotus Notes Client and its standard databases. I also got informed about the Domino as a server and its complexities.
4. Title: Customer Excellence
Business Brief: This was a new Lotus Notes application (database) – developed using Lotus Notes R5. The application used to capture the voice of the customers (VoC). Feedback from the customers was being stored in the database as “VoC” documents. Different views was allow users to analyze the data present in the database

Contribution: The development and the user interface of the project were done by me under the guidance of Rajesh, the team lead. I prepared the test plan as well as the design Document of the VOC Project.
Value Addition This is the first live project that was completely developed by me. Though the project did need a lot of guidance the project was completely developed on time .All the SRS, SDS, Test Documents etc were prepared with a huge satisfaction.
5. Title: Affirmative Actions
Business Brief: Cummins had an affirmative action team that collects the required information documents from different Cummins locations, entities.
The existing database for the purpose is tedious and unsecured. To remove the discrepancy of the old system a new system was developed.
Technical Brief: Lotus Notes 4.6
Contribution: The development of the Affirmative action was done by me . The Interfaces and the functionalities were fully implemented by me. The test cases and documents were sent to the client on time and with satisfaction.
Value Addition The project was a very big one with a huge involvement of the complexities with some of the very good reusable codes implemented in it. The reusability and the Client interaction were some of the important things which were developed by this project.
6. Title: Standard UI Database
Business Brief: The need for the standardization of the User interface was essential for the
Onsite team to make the clients go through their ideas. The project involved five different themes and the onsite team would select the theme according to the preference of the Client. .

Contribution: The database is currently in process of development and with almost on completion, this project seems on a good road ahead.
Value Addition The importance of the reusability is one of the thing for which the database has been developed. Also the importance of a good GUI as well as interface has been realized.
Other Activities
1. I have also supported an HR-application (CPMS Database) which is actively used in over 68 countries. It involved the direct interaction with the end Users.
2. I have been awarded “WOW’ award (performers of the team, given quarterly in KPIT) on more than couple of occasions.

4. Won a prize for the project done in the graduation on “Analog –Digital converter”.
5. Took a number of initiatives to complete the process implementation in my team
6. Got couple of new projects from a new Japanese client once the previous deliverables exceeded their expectation.
