Message attachments are converted and maintained with the messages in the target system. Intuitive Wizard Interface Enables You to Pick and Choose Items for Conversion

An easy to use wizard interface gives you the choice of the type of email data for conversion -- messages, calendar, address book, tasks. For messages, you have the options to:

  • Convert all message folders or individual folders
  • Convert a subset of messages that meet a certain search criteria
  • Limit the attachment size for conversion
  • Convert only those messages that fall within a certain date range
  • Change email addresses to match those required by the new system

For calendars, you can convert all events or only upcoming entries.

Powerful Batch Mode Processor Automates the Mass Migration of Mailboxes

The Transend Migrator Batch Mode Processor is a powerful and flexible .EXE that enables the mass, unattended conversion of mailboxes. It runs in conjunction with a user created parameter file (.DAT) that tells Transend Migrator what to convert and how to convert it. The parameter file supports wildcards and reading from a text file which allows the conversion of multiple mailboxes in one batch process. An included utility called DAT Builder helps create the parameter and batch files.

Command Line Options Allow You to Tailor Transend Migrator for Your Particular Needs and Environment

An extensive array of command line switches can add features or alter behavior without requiring any changes to the user interface. Command line switches can be used with the wizard interface or the batch mode processor and enable Transend Migrator to run in virtually any environment or specialized situation.

Archiving Capability Allows Email Storage and Retrieval With a Compressed, Encrypted and Searchable Proprietary Database

For those who don't want to convert their old email to a new system or client but still want to have it accessible, Transend Migrator includes a powerful archiving utility. It enables you to store email and attachments in a compressed, encrypted proprietary database. The database is searchable through a simple built-in text search feature which allows you to find messages based on the header metadata, message content, attachment name, or attachment content. Keep your old messages with the ability to easily access them without bogging down your new email system.

Supports a Wide Variety of Languages

Transend Migrator attempts to automatically determine what type of character set conversion is necessary for your migration. Additionally, there are special command line switches for a wide variety of languages, including: Asian Languages, Wester Europe, Arabic, Portuguese, Greek, Italian, Latin, Nordic (e.g. Danish and Swedish), Polish, Russian, Turkish and Czech.

Log File Documents the Conversion Process

A log file can be optionally created which contains information about the conversion. This can be used to document the conversion process or help troubleshoot problems during the process.
