Problem Lotus Notes 6.5.1 and explorer.exe: 02/26/2008

i have this problem: when I launch Lotus Notes 6.5.1 (on Win XP sp2) the process explorer.exe goes to 100% of CPU utilization. When I close notes, the system goes normally....
can you help me?

I couldn't find anything in technotes specific to this issue. Problem is that IBM is no longer supporting that version (I believe) so you can't call them at 800-IBM-SERV or they will just tell you to upgrade.
